Revenue Accounts Overview

Define revenue accounts to properly record revenue ( accrual basis Accrual basis accounting recognizes the receipt of cash when it is earned rather than when it is actually received. Expenses related to the revenue are matched during the same accounting period. or cash basis Cash basis accounting recognizes revenue when the cash is received, and expenses when the cash is disbursed. ).  To ensure that all revenue is properly exported to QuickBooks, match the revenue accounts in RezOvation to those set up in QuickBooks.

To access the revenue accounts window:

1. Click the Configuration icon or select View > Program Configuration from the menu to display the Configuration window.

2. Select Revenue Accounts to display the Revenue Accounts window.

From here you can add, edit, or delete a revenue account.
